About Culinary Creations Catering Social Enterprise

Culinary Creations Catering social enterprise was created by the CMC to offer food service job training and professional development for individuals facing barriers to employment who are interested in working in the culinary field. The enterprise offers classroom learning, food safety certification, comprehensive support in overcoming barriers to employment, and paid, hands-on job training. The goal is that through their time with the enterprise, trainees will have gained the skills, work history, and confidence needed to present themselves to an employer as a capable and worthy candidate.

Training Overview

Phase 1 – Participation in 2 to 3 weeks of Delta Session to improve basic job and life skills such as teamwork, reliability, and resume-building; learn about the basics of working in a kitchen; and earn food safety certification
Phase 2 – Paid, hands-on training working at the catering enterprise for 8-12 weeks; training in food safety, food preparation, and basic food service industry skills; gaining experience working in a commercial kitchen
Phase 3 – Job placement with one of CMC’s food service employer partners and 90 days of post-training employment support
